News Synopsis

Logically, a tech company using advanced AI to combat harmful false alarms announced today that they have completed a $24 million funding round led by growth investor Vitruvian Partners.

The company is planning to use the funds to scale its team and capabilities in India, as well as drive growth across other core markets including the USA and the UK. The investment will enable Logically to accelerate its technologies across AI, machine learning and OSINT, and stay at the forefront of the fight against harmful and misleading online information and conspiracy-driven threats in critical areas including election integrity, public health and national security.

False and disinformation on the Internet continue to do serious harm to the real world. Last year, democratic election results became a problem, distribution of the Covid19 vaccine stagnated, false information about health increased, evidence of disinformation campaigns influenced by foreign countries, and the rise of Violent extremism fueled by conspiracy ideology. Fake news is estimated to cost the world economy about $78 billion every year.

Governments, organizations and platforms are increasingly aware of the urgent need to take action against harmful and misleading online content, with the goal of disinformation for financial or idealistic gain. The need for this is further increased by the increasing amount of disinformation about the contracting industry and foreign parties.

Logically says that it conducted a number of high-profile and impactful investigations over a course of a year. It approaches the issues of false information from an end-to-end perspective, with its intelligence to find, triage and respond to information threats across over 120 million domains and 40 social media platforms at speed and at scale.
