News Synopsis

The world is going through an energy crisis. This energy crisis is owed to a shortage in coal, natural gas, and other energy sources that provide energy. Several parts of the world are facing a supply shortage including many European countries along with China. In China, several factories have shut down due to this shortage. In UK, on the other hand, fuel pumps are running dry and people are outraged over this. This power crisis has also made its way to India as many Power plants are running on a low supply of coal.

Amidst this, Lebanon was the first country to suffer a massive power supply cut. The country saw a power supply cut on Saturday due to the shutdown of two power stations. One of the major fears is it can lead to a higher number of job losses. The people who work day and night to provide the world with electricity might get unemployed amidst this severe crisis. This has led to many countries being on high alert of any mob violence that may break out amidst this. Another major problem is the soaring prices of coal. This has affected many countries including India. We'll have to wait for further development into this to know how big of an energy crisis this is.
