2022 KTM RC 390 Launched in India

The updated 2022 KTM RC 390 was launched in India. The race replica uses the new styling of the RC 200, which was developed from scratch for generational change.

The weight has increased to 172 kg, which is 13 kg more than the 2014-16 model. However, KTM states that the torque output has been improved to compensate for the increased weight. It was done with a new 40% larger airbox and a new engine mapping.

The bike offers traction control, a quick shifter, lean-angle sensitive cornering ABS, dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode, TFT multi-color display with KTM My Ride, and power-assisted anti-hopping slipper clutch, WP Apex USD forks an adjustable mono-shock suspension, Bybre brakes, and a two-step height adjusts handlebar. 

The company says that the new RC’s design is inspired by KTM’s Grand Prix models. The colors on offer include KTM Factory Racing Blue and KTM Orange. The redesigned model gets optimized aerodynamics helping the bike to chive a higher top speed now although not revealed, It has also been revealed that the developed using a computational fluid design process.

KTM has launched a Pro-XP program that summarizes the content of branded products. The company will also open a dedicated multi-city KTM RC track racing facility. These multi-city tracks provide a platform for KTM owners to race.
