Kia Carens Gets 3 Star Safety Rating From Global NCAP

Kia Carens has received disappointing results on the safety standards. The car has got only a 3-star safety rating. Global NCAP has made a disappointing comment about this. Kia Carens has achieved a safety rating of 3 stars for Adult Occupant Protection under the Global NCAP crash test

The model has also got only 3 stars for child occupant protection. The car that was crash-tested was a Made-in-India Kia Carens model, which was tested in its 'most basic safety specification' Basic Safety Specifications. This includes a total of 6 airbags including Electronic Stability Control and two frontal airbags, two side-body airbags, and two side head protection airbags. 

The model was also tested for side effects and met UN95 regulatory requirements. As per the crash test data, the Kia Carens exhibited an unstable structure. In this, the driver's chest has been seen to get only minor protection. While the safety of the feet of the driver has been kept in the vulnerable category. 

Global NCAP also stated that the car lacks a three-point seatbelt on the rear central seat. A lap belt is provided in this car. Overall Adult Protection In terms of the Kia Carens has scored a total of 9.30 out of a possible 17.
