News Synopsis

Two top executives of one of the major airline carriers of India- Indigo, have quit the airline company in the past two days. On Thursday, Chief Commercial Officer of Indigo, Willy Boulter has announced that he will be leaving the airline in four months. A day before, its Chief of Finance, Jiten Chopra also resigned from the airline company. While informing about his decision to resign, Boulterin in an interview with Bloomberg Television said: “That’s a sort of personal decision. I’ve been in the airline business a long time. I’m 64, and it’s time to maybe take not a full-time role." Before Indigo, Mr. Boulter has worked with Cathay Pacific and also led Russia’s Sky Express. On Wednesday, the airline informed finance chief Jiten Chopra resigned effective immediately, and it named General Electric Co. veteran Gaurav Negi as a replacement.  Recently, in the month of February, Co-founder Rahul Bhatia was appointed in the newly-created executive role of managing director and Co-founder Rakesh Gangwal stepped down from Indigo’s Board thus ending a years-long feud with Bhatia.
