JioFiber adds 0.19 Million Subscribers

JioFiber has added 0.19 million new subscribers, making the number 1 broadband segment in just two years from its commercial launch. According to a report by Nomura, the market shares of the company have improved 85bp month on month to 16.9%.

After witnessing a large decline in September, the industry witnessed a slight improvement in November with the subscriber base expanding by 1.2 million. Jio added 2 million subscribers during this period. 

Jio still remains the market leader, with a subscriber market of 36.7%.  It surpasses BSNL to be the country’s largest FBB provider. Currently, it has 4.3 million FBB subscribers, followed by BSNL with 4.2 million subscribers, and Airtel with 4.1 million subscribers.
