Jeep to launch Jeep Meridian SUV in India

American automaker Jeep is set to launch a 7-seater SUV, Meridian, in India on Thursday. This three-row SUV will compete with models such as Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Skoda Kushaq. Here's everything we know about the upcoming car's design, features, and expected price.

The car features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 9 speaker sound setup, a Fully digital instrument panel, Cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. It also has safety features including 6 airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a hill start assist.

Jeep Meridian is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged Multijet diesel engine, producing 170 bhp power and maximum torque of 350 Nm. The engine is supported by a 9-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission. The Jeep Meridian is expected to be priced from Rs. 31 lakhs and Rs 36 lakh (ex-showroom) for the basic version. Pre-orders for the car have been opened at Rs 50,000.
