IT Companies are worried about moonlighting issues

When the world came to a standstill when the pandemic hit the world, it raised questions on how to overcome the difficulties posed by it. For the office workers, the solution came in the form of work from home. Now in the current scenario, most of the employees have adapted to the new working lifestyle but this isn’t a problem as long as the productivity of an individual is maintained.The problem that emerged in front of the companies is Moonlighting. Moonlighting is to simultaneously be on the payroll of two or more companies and work for them. Employees who are working full time are taking part-time and side projects to earn some extra income. This on the other hand is severely affecting IT companies productivity and results. A few days back an employee was caught who was simultaneously working for seven different companies. Lack of any central database is one of the many reasons that moonlighting mostly goes unnoticed.
