IREDA signs MoU with Ministry of New and Renewable Energy

News Synopsis

State-sponsored Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (IREDA) is expecting revenue from operations to reach 2,749 crores in this financial year. According to a Ministry of New and Renewable Energy statement, IREDA has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MoU) with the ministry and has set up targets for the current year. The MOU was signed by Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), IREDA, and Indu Shekhar Chaturvedi, Secretary, MNRE on Tuesday. IREDA has been performing really well in the past few years. It has financed more than 2,900 renewable energy projects loan accounts with cumulative loan sanction and disbursement to the tune of Rs 1,08,606 crore and Rs 69,951 crore respectively. It has contributed to producing 19,463 MG of green energy capacity.
