Iran Ready to Supply Required Oil for the World Market

News Synopsis

Mohsen Khojasteh Mehr, head of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC),  said his country is ready to supply the world market with the oil it needs and stabilise prices.

According to reports, the government of Iran has made every possible effort to regain and increase Iran’s share in the market. Mehr also said that all the necessary measures are being taken for the sanctions and post-sanctions time so that Iran can return to the world market.

He further said that Iran has a special position in supplying oil to the world adding that European refiners were confident that Tehran can be a sustainable supplier of energy. The NIOC is ready to meet the needs of the European companies along with other companies. 

The NIOC head claimed that Iran is all prepared to supply whatever the market demand from its oil. The oil industry of Iran has been under US unilateral sanctions since 2018 after the former President of the USA, Donald Trump withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal.
