News Synopsis

iQOO has officially confirmed the launch date of its new flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, in India. The company announced via social media that the device will debut on November 26, putting an end to earlier rumors of a November 27 launch. A dedicated microsite for the phone is already live on Amazon India, showcasing key highlights of the upcoming model. It’s clear that iQOO aims to position this device as its most powerful smartphone yet in India.

Launch Date Confirmed by iQOO India CEO

iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya confirmed that the iQOO 15 will launch in India on November 26, one day earlier than initially expected. The Amazon microsite also reveals key hardware and software details, confirming that the phone will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

Powerful Performance with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

The iQOO 15 will be among the first smartphones in India to come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This chipset promises lightning-fast performance with major improvements in power efficiency. Running on Android 16 (OriginOS 6), the phone will offer a smooth and responsive user experience. Known for its high-performance gaming devices, iQOO is taking its capabilities to a new level with this release.

144Hz AMOLED Display for Gaming and Streaming

Based on the Chinese variant, the iQOO 15 will feature a 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 130Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring ultra-smooth responsiveness. The display uses Samsung’s latest M14 panel, providing deeper and more natural colors. This makes the phone ideal for gamers and OTT content lovers, offering enhanced brightness and seamless visuals.

Triple 50MP Camera Setup for Premium Photography

The iQOO 15 is expected to sport a triple 50MP rear camera system, comprising a primary lens, a periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide sensor. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera for high-quality photos and video calls. While full Indian specifications aren’t yet confirmed, reports suggest that the same camera setup as the Chinese model will be offered. iQOO is also focusing on improving camera performance to make the iQOO 15 a complete flagship device, not just a gaming powerhouse.

Massive 7000mAh Battery with Superfast Charging

Battery performance could be a key highlight of the iQOO 15. It is expected to come with a 7000mAh battery, capable of easily lasting through an entire day of heavy usage. The phone will support 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, allowing it to charge from 0 to 100% in just a few minutes. This makes it a great option for users who prioritize both gaming and multitasking. With its impressive battery life, the iQOO 15 is set to redefine endurance in the flagship smartphone segment.
