Intel Suspends Operations in Russia

On Wednesday, Intel has announced that it has immediately suspended all its operations in Russia. Almost a month ago, the company also suspended its shipments to Russia and Belarus. Intel in its released statement said: “Intel continues to join the global community in condemning Russia’s war against Ukraine and calling for a swift return to peace. Effective immediately, we have suspended all business operations in Russia.”

Earlier, Intel has also informed that it has raised $1.2 million via employee donations for relief efforts in war-affected Ukraine. However, the company said that it will continue providing to support its 1,200 employees in Russia. Intel in its statement said: “We are working to support all of our employees through this difficult situation, including our 1,200 employees in Russia.” It further informed that it has taken business continuity measures to limit disruptions to its global operations. Earlier, many tech companies such as Apple, Google, etc have already stopped their operations in Russia to stand with Ukraine.
