News Synopsis

Intel Corporation has committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in global operations by 2040, in order to increase the energy efficiency and lower the carbon footprint of Intel products and platforms with specific goals, and to work with customers and industry partners to create solutions that lower the greenhouse gas footprint of the entire technology ecosystem.

The company has unveiled a $300 million investment in energy conversation at all its facilities in order to achieve this goal. The investment is aimed at achieving 100% renewables energy use across its global operations and launching a cross-industry R&D initiative to identify greener chemicals with lower global warming potential.

By 2040, Intel is committed to achieving net-zero's greenhouse gas emissions, also known as Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, in all its operations. Intel's priority is to proactively reduce emissions in line with international standards and climate science. It will use reliable carbon offsets to achieve your goals only if the other options are exhaustive.

Intel is working with hundreds of customers and industry partners to create solutions to meet the needs of many computing powers while operating more efficiently and consuming less energy.
