IndiGo Appoints Vikram Mehta to its Board

News Synopsis

IndiGo, a low-cost airline, has appointed former Shell India Chief Vikram Singh and former Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa as independent non-executive directors. The appointment requires receipt of the security clearance from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and approval of the company.

Vikram Singh Mehta has been appointed as an independent non-executive director in the vacancies created by the second phase of Anupam Khanna, which ended March 26.

Mehta is an independent director of a number of companies including Larsen and Toubro Ltd, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, Colgate Palmolive India Ltd, Apollo Tyres Ltd, HT Media Ltd, and Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd.

Meanwhile, BS Dhanoa will be appointed as an independent non-executive director in the vacancy that arises when Meleveetil Damodaran retires as an independent director on May 3, 2022, at the age of 75.
