In light of this, Forbes has put together its sixth annual list of the world's best employers.

In order to determine which multinational corporations and institutions excel in corporate impact and image, talent development, gender equality, and social responsibility, Forbes said it partnered with market research company Statista to compile the ranking by surveying 1,50,000 full-time and part-time workers from 57 countries who work for those organizations on a regular basis.

"Participants were also asked to evaluate other employers in their particular industries who stood out with either favorable or unfavorable attitudes and to rate how likely they were to refer their current company to friends and family. The list for this year includes 800 businesses with the best ratings, "It read.

Aspects like a business brand, economic impact, talent development, gender equality, and social responsibility were taken into consideration while rating it.
