Indian AI-Saas start-ups can create $500 Billion Market Value by 2030

News Synopsis

According to a report of International Finance Corporation, India’s artificial intelligence and SaaS start-ups are well-positioned to create more than $500 billion of market value by 2030. India’s AI and SaaS opportunity could create around 4.5 million jobs more than 900,000 white-collar jobs and 3.6 million new indirect jobs.

According to Bain & Company, an increase of 170% from 2020 was also noticed with $4.5 billion being invested into the SaaS startups in India. The report also included that India has a large pool of niche talent like designers and data scientists along with the availability of unique data sets and sophisticated algorithms.

The whole ecosystem for early-stage companies is backed by adequate high-risk capital, with investors who are focusing on software investments and industry-specific accelerators that are willing to support these companies in their early stages.

The head of South Asia, Disruptive Technologies – Direct Equity and VC Funds of International Finance Corporation, Ruchira Shukla has said that there are several inflexion points like an abundance of data, storage capacity, and computing power in India, that is priming AI to drive next wave of business transformation.
