Truecaller's Net Sales Growth in India:

In the first quarter (Q1) of the current year, Truecaller saw an 8% rise in net sales in India. India accounted for a significant portion, comprising 74.2% of the total net sales for Truecaller.

Net sales in India for the first quarter of FY24 were 316.8 million Swedish Krona (SEK), up from SEK 292.2 million in the same period the previous year.

Key Revenue Streams in India:

Truecaller highlighted growth across three revenue streams in India: Truecaller for Business, Premium subscriptions, and Ads. These revenue streams contributed to India's status as one of the biggest markets for Truecaller.

User Base Statistics:

Around the world, there were about 383.4 million active users on average (MAU), an increase of 39 million. India stands out with 272.6 million monthly active users (MAU), demonstrating its significance in Truecaller's user base.

Daily active users (DAU) globally reached 314 million, with India contributing 234.4 million daily active users, showcasing substantial engagement.

Global Ad Revenue Surge:

Truecaller experienced a notable 5% surge in global ad revenue compared to the first quarter of 2023. This increase was largely driven by heightened demand for digital advertising, coinciding with events like the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Product Expansion in Indian Market:

Truecaller launched its call recording feature in the Indian market during this period. The call recording feature enables users to record and transcribe all calls, available in both English and Hindi languages.

Initially introduced on Android, the product is now accessible on iOS platforms in India as well.
