India to Get 5G Services by Diwali This Year

India can have the gift of 5G services till Diwali this year. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given approval for the auction of the 5G spectrum. Telecom companies were waiting for a long time to auction the 5G spectrum.

With this, a new revolution can be considered in the telecom sector in the country. Under this, the Telecom Ministry will invite applications from aspiring telecom companies from this week. According to the decision of the cabinet, the auction process will be started in July. 

For this, the total cost of the spectrum has been kept at Rs 5 lakh crore. Under this, the government will auction nine spectrums. In this auction, telecom companies will apply for the auction of 600 to 1800 Mhz bands and 2100, 2300, and 2500 Mhz band. The central government has already tested 5G spectrum calling and advanced services with video calling.
