According to Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday, India's COVID-19 case tally increased by 7,584 in a day to 4,32,05,106, while the number of active cases increased to 36,267. The death toll has risen to 5,24,747, according to data updated at 8 a.m. The number of active cases increased by 3,769 to 0.08 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.70 percent, according to the health ministry.

The daily positivity rate was 2.26 percent, and the weekly positivity rate was 1.50 percent. The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,26,44,092, with a case fatality rate of 1.21 percent So far, the total number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the country has surpassed 194.76 crores.

On August 7, 2020, India's COVID-19 tally surpassed 20 lakh, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16. It surpassed 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20, and one crore on December 19.

India will pass the two-crore mark on May 4, 2021, and the three-crore on June 23, 2021.
