India crosses 170 crore vaccination mark

Since its beginning, Covid 19 has wreaked havoc upon the world and we have seen some disastrous consequences in the past two years. Our most powerful weapon to fight against this virus is to vaccinate as many citizens as we could in a short span. India has been successfully conducting its vaccination drive aginst the virus since last year. On Monday over 50 lakh of vaccines were administered in the country and with this India crossed the 170 crore vaccination mark. Recently the health department announced that a third or a booster dose would also be administered to front-line warriors which include health workers, doctors, police officials, etc.The vaccination campaign for the age group of 15 to 18 was also started at the beginning of the year. The result of mass vaccination can be seen as the country is reporting less number of cases.The mortality rate has been significantly decreased as well.
