News Synopsis

OTO, a buying and financing platform, has produced its first annual report on two-wheeler trends in India, including statistics on top-performing brands, demand in cities, and categories driving financing demand. The report also underlines the shift in consumer behaviour that has occurred as a result of the epidemic and the market's increased digital penetration.

According to the report, the majority of two-wheeler credit customers are middle-class working professionals aged 24 to 35. Financing has become the most popular method of purchasing two-wheelers.

According to the survey, EVs accounted for 34% of scooter sales, while conventional fuel vehicles accounted for 42%. Honda and TVS are the most popular brands, according to OTO, both online and offline. Indore has emerged as the top buyer of two-wheelers and digital financing among all tier 2 cities.

In terms of demand for two-wheelers and their financing, Banglore came out on top, followed by Hyderabad. Around 23% of clients choose to resell their two-wheelers through OTO's services. 33 percent of customers bought premium bikes with an average price of 1.5 lakh. Approximately 82 percent of OTO clients chose to finance, while 18 percent preferred to purchase two-wheelers without financing.
