News Synopsis

The health tech startup, StanPlus has raised $20 million in the Series A funding round led by Healthquad, Kalaari Capital, HealthX Singapore, Pegasus, Avaana Capital’s Sandeep Singhal, and serial investor Prashant Malik.

StanPlus offers 15 minutes ambulance service and is planning to cut it short to 8 minutes after the funding round. It also plans to use the capital to work with more than 500 hospitals across 15 metros and Tier-II cities of India. It includes cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad next year. The company has also raised another $2 million from Grip Invest for leasing ambulances.

StanPlus was founded by Prabhdeep Singh, Antoine Poirson, and Jose Leon in 2016 and works with hospitals to manage the emergency response by offering ambulance services as soon as possible at a subscription cost. It offers software as a service solutions. StarPlus has a network of 3,000 ambulances out of which 200 are owned by the company itself.
