News Synopsis

Content creators must interact with their followers in order to monetize their work, as it is a popular career choice. Habitat, a company based in New Delhi, is seizing this chance. The platform connects people who want to connect with their favourite content creators using well-known communication channels. The startup, which Rohit Pande co-founded, targets value-based content producers who offer useful knowledge or abilities on open platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter and are seeking to establish their own engaging paid community.

Pande said, “A community is founded on communication and so these content creators find it easy to connect with their followers on platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram. While Instagram and other such platforms distribute content to the masses, WhatsApp and Telegram help engage in exclusive conversations, making special and limited offers and providing one-on-one sessions if needed."

The content creators can add useful links to their public profiles thanks to Habitat. A follower joins a Telegram or WhatsApp group that gives them access to premium content and notifications when they click on a link like this and pay for it. The startup also offers a mobile app through which creators and users can access features not available on Telegram and WhatsApp.

“Our goal is to bring followers to these groups and migrate them to the Habitat app when they want more out of their favourite creators. Since the app aims to further communication, its features are designed to help creators and their followers engage properly,” says Pande.
