Google to launch Pixel 6a in India

After a gap of almost two years, Google is finally bringing its Pixel 6a smartphone to India. Google couldn't sell Pixels in India because the front "Soli Radar Chip" used the 60GHz frequency band, which is banned for commercial use in India.

The company confirmed while speaking to Android Central that the Pixel 6a will be available in India later in 2022. The device will also be soon available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the UK, and the USA.

Soniya Jobanputra, Director of Product Management at Google said in a statement, “Pixel 6a comes with the same powerful brains, Google Tensor, and many of the must-have features as our premium phones Pixel 6a and Pixel 6a Pro, at a lower price of $449.”

The Pixel 6a has the highly accurate speech recognition as the Pixel 6 Pro. This includes features such as a recorder, live captions, and live translation. The Pixel 6a is the first Pixel smartphone to come with an all-day battery that lasts up to 72 hours in Extreme Battery Saver mode, the company said.
