News Synopsis

Yesterday tech giant Google announced that it is currently working on introducing new privacy changes. These changes will limit sharing data on smartphones running on its Android operating system. Earlier trillion-dollar company Apple also introduced significant privacy, measures in its devices to enhance data security. This, in turn, cost Meta formerly known as Facebook $10 billion due to loss in its Ad revenue. Google however said that its changes are not going to be as disruptive to the users as Apple's changes are. Google didn't disclose when it is going to roll out these changes but it assured the current users that they are going to provide support to its current technologies for the next couple of years. Apple's changes allowed users to block tracking their data from companies that used it for targeted advertising. On the other hand, Anthony Chavez, a vice president at Google's Android division, said the company is aiming to look for an ethical solution that can secure users' privacy by his consent but at the same time also allow companies to gain revenue from advertising.
