Google begins Building its Largest Campus outside US Headquarters

News Synopsis

On Thursday, US-based global Tech giant Google commenced working on its largest campus outside of its headquarters in the United States. The 3 million square feet building is being built up at Gachibowli, the information technology cluster. Google also introduced the design of its campus spread around the 7.3-acre site it acquired in the year 2019. K.T. Rama Rao, Minister of Information Technology of Telangana informed that he was super excited to break the ground for Tech giants’ largest campus outside of their headquarters at Mountain View, the United States. The global tech company informed that the new building prioritizes sustainability and energy efficiency in its design.

Once become operational, it will provide a highly-skilled tech workforce with a healthy, collaborative workplace that is both resilient and adaptable, designed to serve the city in the future. Rama Rao, who unveiled the building design of Google said, "I am pleased that Google is deepening its roots in Hyderabad through this landmark building which incorporates sustainability into its design, keeping in mind Hyderabad's large and future-focused talent pool.” Google’s new campus was originally planned as a 2 million square facility with an investment of Rs 1,000 crore.
