Good Glamm is planning to acquire Raymond’s Consumer Care Business

News Synopsis

According to multiple sources who don’t wish to be identified, disclosed that the Good Glamm Group is planning talks to buy the consumer care business of the Raymond Group which houses the Park Avenue and KamaSutra brands. The cash-and-stock deal at around Rs 2,500-Rs 2,800 crores, is estimated to be one of the largest acquisitions in the beauty and personal care segment. One of the sources said, “This acquisition will mark Good Glamm’s entry into the men’s personal care and sexual wellness category.” 

Another source informed that the Raymond Group as well as its promoters, as a part of the deal will eventually receive a minority stake in the Good Glamm Group. Another one told that it is expected that the Raymond Group will carve out its consumer care business before any potential sale.

However a spokesperson for the Raymond Group, in a statement said, “As per the company policy, we do not comment on market speculation. However, to enhance shareholder value, we keep evaluating all options available to us.” In the past one and a half years, the Good Glamm Group acquired brands such as PopXO, Baby Chakra, Mom’s Co, ScoopWhoop, MissMalini Entertainment, Sirona, and St Botanica.
