News Synopsis

The cross border e-commerce, Geniemode has raised $7 million in a Series A funding round led by Info Edge Ventures. Geniemode has customers which range from small independent retailers to large retail chains in the USA, LatAm, the UK, EU, and Australia. 

To fulfil the high demand, it is working with more than 100 suppliers from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. 

The company is planning to use the raise the funds to scale up the tech platform of the firm, expand it geographically, boost the design capability of the company and also expand its buyer and vendor base. 

The CEO and co-founder, Amit Sharma has said that they will utilise the fresh capital to strengthen the tech and product development and will also try to enter new markets.

The CFO and Co-founder, Tanuj Gangwani has also said that the company aims to become the top platform for all international buyers across home, furniture, fashion and accessories and other categories. He also said that they are planning to offer a wide range of products with better prices and tech solutions, that will make the whole process smooth and hassle-free. Tanuj Gangwan also claimed that the company has a presence in the US and UK that will help in strengthening the reach to the international customers.
