Partnership Announcement:

  • Amul has partnered with the 108-year-old dairy cooperative, Michigan Milk Producers Association, in the US.

  • The announcement of this collaboration was made at the association's annual meeting in Detroit on March 20, according to Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of GCMMF.

Fresh Milk Launch:

  • Amul will introduce its fresh milk selection in the United States, offering it in both one-gallon (3.8 liters) and half-a-gallon (1.9 liters) packaging, all carrying the Amul brand.

  • The range includes Amul Gold (6% milk fat), Amul Shakti (4.5% milk fat), Amul Taaza (3% milk fat), and Amul Slim (2% milk fat).

Market Strategy:

  • The diverse range of fresh milk varieties from Amul will be conveniently accessible at leading Indian grocery stores situated throughout the East Coast and Midwest regions of the United States, catering to the preferences of consumers in these areas..

  • Amul plans to expand its offerings in the US market, including yogurt, buttermilk, and paneer, to meet the growing demand from the Indian community abroad.

Mass Media Campaign:

  • GCMMF plans to launch extensive mass media campaigns in the United States.

  • This will include broadcasting their famous TV advertisement 'Doodh Doodh Piyo Glass Full Doodh' to promote Amul's products.

Global Presence and Operations:

  • Amul exports its products to over 50 countries worldwide.

  • The company operates with 18,000 milk cooperative committees and a network of 36,000 farmers, processing over 3.5 crore liters of milk daily.
