News Synopsis

Due to supply chain issues, fewer than half of English Football and Premier League clubs have both their new home and away kits available for purchase online ahead of the season. Only 44 of the 92 clubs have both of their 2022–23 season's uniforms available for purchase.

Crystal Palace and Leeds United are two Premier League clubs that don't have either uniform on hand.

Some have attributed the delays to Covid-related disruption and factory closures in Asia.

It implies that some teams won't have their new uniforms available before the start of the season, which is set to begin on August 5 in the Premier League, August 29 in League One and League Two, and August 29 in the Championship.

Out of the 92 clubs in the top four leagues:

  • 44 teams have both kits available for sale on their website
  • 22 teams have only their home kit available
  • 7 teams have only their away kit available
  • 19 teams have neither kit available

While orders for his club's new home and away uniforms were placed shortly after the club approved the kit designs in October, according to one English Football League chief executive who wished to remain unnamed, neither was yet available for purchase due to Covid disruption at Asian factories.
