First Tweets Of Ex-Twitter Executives After Being Fired

News Synopsis

After Elon Musk took control of Twitter on Friday, four top executives, including Parag Agrawal, who was born in India, were fired from the company. While Parag Agrawal hasn't updated his Twitter account and hasn't yet released a comment regarding his highly-discussed departure from the company, former CFO Ned Segal and former general counsel Sean Edgett have both done so following their layoff.

Ned Segal, a former CFO, updated his Twitter bio to read "current fan" of Twitter. He declared his departure from Twitter, ending his five-year employment there, in a detailed statement." The work isn't complete, but we made meaningful progress,"  he wrote.

Segal acknowledged the accomplishments and noted that the previous six months had been difficult and unpredictable."The past 6 months have pulled on every mental muscle I've developed in 48 years. You learn so much when times are challenging and unpredictable when we are tired or feel our integrity questioned. Our team remained kind, respectful, and steadfast. They are lifelong friends,"   He wrote a letter of gratitude to his family and former teammates.

Segal also put out a recommendation for Sean Edgett, pleading for companies to form a line to hire him. "This man is a legend, he’s funny, a great friend, and the coolest cat in the hardest moments. Start forming an orderly line to hire him as GC, you want him in the trenches with you!" he tweeted.

Sean Edgett, on the other hand, put out a tweet confirming his exit. "he Tweeted.

On the other hand, Sean Edgett tweeted to announce his resignation. "Twitter is full of the most amazing people. I have so much gratitude for my former team and colleagues. Keep taking good care of this place, Tweagle," He tweeted with a heart sign.
