EVIFY collaborates with Swiggy in Gujarat

News Synopsis

Popular food delivery platform Swiggy and tech-enabled EV logistics platform EVIFY have joined hands to assist the food delivery platform go completely electric and to use a more sustainable method of delivery in the city of Surat, Gujrat. Both the company plans to cover about 80% of prime areas of Surat for last-mile delivery. This partnership is a green mobility initiative. With this initiative, the companies aim to significantly cut down carbon emissions and contribute to the conservation of the environment.

Using electric vehicles for the purpose of delivery is an important step to achieve their aim. Currently, the number of fleet sizes with Swiggy at the moment is between 20-25 covering prime locations in Surat. After the partnership, Devrishi Arora of Founder, EVIFY said, "This partnership will enable Swiggy to deliver better while also saving the planet. The use of EVs for deliveries is also expected to reduce delivery operations cost by up to 40 percent." The food delivery company plans to cover 8 lakh kilometers a day in EVs by 2025 and also reduce the running cost of vehicles by 40%.  Vinay Kumar, Cluster Operation Head, Swiggy (Sales & Operations, Gujarat) at this collaboration commented, "With EVIFY, we plan to deliver our food through Electric Vehicles and do our bit for the society".
