News Synopsis

The voting for the California proposal for cutting incentives for the rooftop solar systems is set to take place. But the founder and CEO of SpaceX has called out this action of California’s government as anti-environment. He said that the proposal is a “bizarre anti-environment move.”

The California Public Utilities Commission presented a proposal last month to cut the number of incentives for solar energy systems that are installed on the roofs. The voting for the proposal is due later this month.

Elon Musk shared his thoughts on Twitter saying that the proposal is a bizarre anti-environment move by the government of California. Tesla has even set up a webpage to take the complaints regarding the proposal to Governor Gavin Newsom and CPUC.

The governor, Gavin Newsom has said that there can be some changes made in the proposal that has been put forward by the CPCU.
