Ecom Express aims to Convert 50% of its Vehicle Fleet to Electric by 2025

News Synopsis

One of the leading tech-driven logistics firm Ecom Express, in a statement, informed that it aims to convert 50% of its vehicle fleet to electric by the year 2025. To boost its push into the EV segment, it will deploy electric bikes in Jaipur and Hyderabad. The delivery company further told that in the Delhi NCR region, it already has a fleet of electric 3-wheelers operating for the last two years in the first-mile delivery space besides successfully conducting trials for the use of e-bikes in the last mile. Ecom Express said that the adoption of electric vehicles is a part of the company’s bigger sustainability goal in a bid to decrease its carbon footprint and continue to be a responsible delivery partner to the e-commerce industry.

The co-founder and chief executive officer of Ecom Express, T A Krishnan said, "We are thrilled to have added e-vehicles as a step towards our journey of achieving 50% electric fleet in the last mile by 2025. I believe this is a progressive step toward sustainable green logistics and it reasserts our commitment to a safer environment," The CEO of the delivery firm further said that Sustainable mobility is a catalyst to revolutionize the logistics and transportation industry. Krishnan further commented, "at Ecom Express, we are looking to create greater avenues to make sustainable deliveries. The use of the electric bikes marks the beginning of our efforts to make our last-mile delivery greener."
