News Synopsis

Ducati has officially launched the Panigale V4 Tricolore in India at a price of ₹77 lakh (ex-showroom). This ultra-exclusive collector’s edition superbike is limited to 1,000 numbered units worldwide, with only a very small allocation reserved for the Indian market. Bookings are now open.

A Tricolore That Celebrates Ducati’s Italian Racing Legacy

The Panigale V4 Tricolore has been introduced as a tribute to Ducati’s Italian heritage and racing pedigree. Inspired by the legendary 1984 Ducati 750 F1, the model marks four decades of the iconic Tricolore livery. Over the years, the Tricolore badge has been reserved for Ducati’s most exclusive motorcycles, starting with the Ducati 851 Desmoquattro in 1988.

This latest Tricolore continues that tradition by blending historical design cues with Ducati’s most advanced superbike platform.

Distinctive Design and Exclusive Tricolore Livery

Design by Aldo Drudi and Centro Stile Ducati

Designed by Aldo Drudi in collaboration with Centro Stile Ducati, the Panigale V4 Tricolore is based on the latest-generation Panigale V4.

Unique Asymmetric Paint Scheme

The motorcycle features a new asymmetric Tricolore livery combining:

  • White, red and green bodywork

  • Black-and-white chequered flag graphics on the lower fairing

Number ‘1’ plates on the front and side fairings mirror Ducati’s race-focused models such as the Panigale V4 R and Multistrada Pikes Peak.

2025 Panigale V4 Aerodynamics and Platform Updates

The Tricolore showcases the redesigned aerodynamic surfaces introduced with the 2025 Panigale V4, which marks Ducati’s transition to the seventh generation of its superbike platform.

These updates are part of a broader evolution that includes:

  • Revised chassis architecture

  • Integrated aerodynamics

  • Advanced electronic systems

Track-Focused Hardware: A First for a Tricolore

Carbon Fibre Wheels

For the first time in Ducati’s history, a Tricolore model receives major track-focused hardware. The Panigale V4 Tricolore comes equipped with five-spoke carbon fibre wheels, which are approximately 0.9 kg lighter than the forged wheels on the Panigale V4 S.

This results in:

  • 12% reduction in front rotational inertia

  • 19% reduction in rear rotational inertia

The benefit is sharper handling, improved agility and faster directional changes on track.

World-First Front Brake Pro System

Another standout feature is the Front Brake Pro braking system, a world-first for a production motorcycle.

Brake Hardware Details

  • Twin 338.5 mm Brembo T-Drive finned discs

  • Disc thickness: 6.2 mm

  • Brembo Hypure calipers with anthracite anodising

Derived directly from World Superbike-spec components, the system was tested by Ducati factory riders during the 2024 Race of Champions.

Braking performance is further enhanced by a Brembo MCS 19.21 master cylinder with remote lever adjustment, similar to setups used in MotoGP and WorldSBK.

Engine, Chassis and Performance Specifications

Desmosedici Stradale V4 Engine

Powering the Panigale V4 Tricolore is Ducati’s 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, delivering:

  • 216 bhp at 13,500 rpm

  • 122 Nm of torque at 11,250 rpm

Chassis and Weight

  • Ducati Front Frame chassis architecture

  • 17-litre aluminium fuel tank

  • Wet weight (without fuel): 188 kg, making it around 3 kg lighter than the Panigale V4 S
