Corporate Travel demand rises gradually: Indigo

News Synopsis

One of the most important airlines of the country Indigo has stated that the demand for corporate flying is gradually increasing. The budget carrier said that the aviation industry was severely affected by the pandemic. There was a significant drop in the number of airlines passengers which eventually led to huge losses and disappointing numbers in revenues. Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer of Indigo, Sanjay Kumar said that we witnessed almost 70% of the recovery in corporate flying in the month of December but with the onset third wave after the emergence of omicron variant, it went down by 50% TO 25% in the month of January. However this month there is some good news for them as the numbers are gradually increasing again and they are hoping for positive results. Recently, the Gurgaon- based airline carrier released its third quarter’s earnings and posted a profit of 130 crores in that.
