Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Cut by Rs 135

News Synopsis

On Wednesday morning, the price of a 19kg bottle of commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)  was reduced by Rs 135 per cylinder. This is the first hike in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders after three months of consecutive hikes in the prices.

Currently, the price of each cylinder is Rs 2,219 in Delhi, Rs 2,322 in Kolkata, Rs 2,171.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 2,373 in Chennai. The price of commercial LPG cylinders rose Rs 102.50 on May 1st, rising for the third straight month. Prior to that, prices rose Rs 250 on April 1st and  Rs 105 in March.

The price of commercial LPG cylinders was reduced by  Rs 102.50 per piece on January 1, 2022. There is no change in tariffs on domestic LPG cylinders. New rates will be applied from today. The government has been raising prices for both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders for some time, which has been criticized by opposition parties.
