Chrome Users May Soon Be Able To View How Much Memory Each Chrome Tab Is Using

According to reports, tech giant Google is developing a new feature for Chrome that will let users see how much Memory each tab is currently using. Leopeva64, a Chrome expert, tweeted the information, according to Android Police.

When the cursor is over an open tab, the new feature will provide detailed memory consumption information. Users who have numerous tabs open will find this feature useful because it will make it easier for them to select which tabs to close.

The tech juggernaut released the Memory and Energy Saving modes for Chrome last month for Mac, Windows, Linux, and Chromebooks.

Chrome's Memory Saver automatically frees up memory from inactive tabs"  to make space on users' PCs for other apps and websites. Moreover, Chrome saves battery life by reducing background activity and visual effects while using Energy Saving.

The company is reportedly developing a new Chrome feature that will enable Android users to delete their most recent 15 minutes of browser history.
