BTS to launch its NFTs in the first half of 2022

The South Korean boy band, BTS is now planning to produce NFTs. The management agency of the boy band, Hybe has confirmed the plans to The Wall Street Journal. 

John Kim, the project lead of HybeAmerica has said NFTs have the potential for expansion and will also provide fans with more varied experiences and opportunities to express themselves. John Kim has also said that the initial launch of its NFTs will include the photocards and will be launched by the first half of 2022.

Hybe, the management company unveiled the plans for BTS NFTs in November 2021 for the first time. The company even signed a deal with the top crypto exchange of South Korea, Dunamu. But it received a huge backlash and negative remarks based on the environmental impact of all the energy that is used to mint and trade NFTs.
