News Synopsis

Leading Global Crypto Exchange Binance has launched the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Awareness Tour (BCAT) in Africa. This is a crypto-recognition tour in a particular location, as crypto adoption continues to be a popular trend on the continent.

The purpose of the tour is to spread awareness of blockchain and cryptocurrencies and educate people throughout Africa. It is also expected to facilitate actual adoption and allow millions of people across the continent to choose cryptography in the process.

The campaign will begin on June 4th in southeastern Nigeria. Then move across Africa to countries such as Uganda, Ghana, and Cameroon. According to a Binance post, the event will be attended by up to 5,000 Africans.

Binance has been a sponsor of the Blockchain and Crypto Awareness Tour since 2019 when the awareness program became first introduced. It is sponsored through CryptoTVPlus, a famous blockchain and cryptocurrency media residence from Nigeria. At that time, this system became especially concentrated on students.

A study released by Chainalysis in late 2021 included peer-to-peer payments and savings as the main factors adopted across Africa. Like major developing countries, Nigerians are considering some measures announced by the government and crypto as a way to escape inflation.
