Bill Gates Has a Short Position Against Tesla, Says Musk

Bill Gates has a short position against Tesla that currently needs to be closed between $1.5 billion and $2 billion, Elon Musk said in a series of tweets on Friday. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said that the position was $500 million and grew after Tesla went up a lot.

When asked at CNBC last year if he was a short Tesla, Gates said, "I don't talk about my investments." In response to a tweet after Twitter's poll, Musk asked who trusts fewer politicians and billionaires. Over 75% say they have low confidence in politicians.

Elon Musk is known for his sharing his opinions via tweets on different topics. Recently has been sued by Twitter shareholders alleging that he manipulated the company's stock price with his tweets following the buyout agreement. The deal for his acquisition is still in process.
