Bharti airtel’s net profit declined by 3%

News Synopsis

One of the major telecom providers of India – Bharti Airtel declared its third-quarter results on Tuesday. The consolidated net profit rose by 22% amounting to ₹1,650 crores for the third quarter of the financial year. On the other hand, the profit of owners was ₹830 crore which is 3% less than what it earned in the last year. Airtel also said its users also increased by 18% in a year. Airtel’s revenue from operations climbed by 13% to ₹29,866 core. On declaration of result, CEO of Bharti airtel Gopal Vittal said “We have delivered another quarter of sustained performance across all our business segments. Overall sequential revenue growth was at 5.4% and Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization EBITDA margins came in at 49.9%. The recent tariff revision for mobile services has gone down well and we are exiting the quarter with an industry leading ARPU of ₹163.” The share price of Bharti Airtel saw a marginal growth of 0.34% after results before closing at ₹708.90.
