News Synopsis

Bajaj Consumer Care, known for its almond hair oil, has introduced another premium product in its skincare line: an almond moisturising soap. It claims that their premium offering is more affordable than other premium soaps in the market.

The Bajaj soap costs 53 for a 100 gm soap bar and 25 for a 50 gm soap bar, which is comparable to what their competitors charge. The company, on the other hand, believes that it provides enhanced moisturization for the skin, giving it an advantage over competitors, not to mention that it comes from the same stable as almond oil, providing brand recall.

The company considers its product to be a "value proposition," with competitive pricing and other benefits. With this offering, they intend to target "all consumer segments."

“We are confident that the Bajaj Almond Drops branding of the soap will speak to customers’ sense of loyalty and trust and evoke the same response as our hair oil offering,” said Jaideep Nandi, managing director at Bajaj Consumer Care. The soap market in India is worth ₹20,000 crores, which has seen consumer needs evolving in the last two years.
