Azukis Overtakes Bored Apes and Crypto Punks

The Bored Ape Yacht and Crypto Punks are competing with 10,000 quite like characters for the top spot on NFT collections. The NFT called Azuki was launched earlier this year and has notched more than $300 million in sales in the last 30 days alone. According to the data from OpenSea, the NFT collection got first place on trading last month.

The NFTs have surged in popularity ever since last year with more than $41 billion in sales. Its market has been dominated by the iconic Crypto Punks and Bored Ape Yacht Club collections. But in the early days, the new NFT collection Azuki is now catching up to these NFT collections. The collection was launched on January 22 on OpenSea. The collection was sold out just minutes after they went live. According to Forbes, the blockchain collection totaled $29 billion.
