News Synopsis

Apple recently released the update of iOS 16.1. Updates have also been released for watchOS 9.1, tvOS 16.1, macOS Ventura, and iPadOS 16.1. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, or CERT-In, has issued a warning on a flaw in iOS 16.1. According to the certificate, the Safari URL for Apple's browser could also be changed to a false URL by utilising this problem.

Now with the update to iOS 16.1, Apple has said that this bug has been fixed. Versions prior to iOS 16.1 contained a bug that threatened the security of the iPhone 8 and later, including the iPad Pro (all models), all later models of the iPad Air 3, iPad 5 and iPad mini 5.

The CVE number for this bug is 2022-42827. Hackers could access your phone's info with its assistance. The latest iOS 16.1 release has repaired 19 security flaws. Therefore, if you own an iPhone and the iOS 16.1 update is available, you should update it right away.
