News Synopsis

Apple Inc released an iPhone and iPad operating system upgrade on Monday, while analysts and developers are eagerly awaiting clues as to how future mixed reality headsets will work.

At its annual software developer conference, Apple announced that users can buy now and pay for the purchase later. Apple Pay Later is available wherever Apple Pay is accepted and managed through the Apple Wallet. Users can make four equal payments with no interest or fees.

Apple has also added an edit button for sent messages, beating Twitter with a long-requested feature. Headsets are unlikely to be announced on Monday, but developers will send a view of the outside world to a high-resolution display where future headsets can use cameras to overlay digital objects on top of the physical environment. Anshel Sag, the Principal Analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, said.

Apple is likely to announce an updated version of its Mac Pro computer, aimed at users like developers who need a lot of computing power and the latest in Apple's lineup to use the new processor from Intel Corp.
