News Synopsis

If we consider the recent patent granted to the Unites States-based tech giant Apple, it could be planning to launch its own game controller. This patent was filed on August 27, 2021. It was granted by the US Patent & Trademark Office and the European Patent Office to the tech company on March 31, 2022. The patent indicates that Apple is possibly working on a range of gaming accessories for the iPhone and iPad. According to the patent, the rumored gaming controller can come in three different designs. The first design is very much similar to Microsoft’s Xbox controller which includes a thumb and a control button. The Tech giant already supports Sony’s PlayStation and Xbox controllers with its devices.

The second patent design is like the Nintendo Switch gaming console. This gaming console features a snap-on design along with two modular controller units to the end of the controller. A similar controller was seen in ROG phones by Asus known as Kunai GamePad. The third design is like a folding pad similar to the iPad’s flip cover. As per the pictures, the cover flips out to present the interface along with a touch panel in between.
