AKASA Air's First Flight from August 7, Booking of Tickets Starts

Another airline is about to join the Indian aviation services. The new Akasa Airline on Friday announced that it is going to start its first commercial flight service between Mumbai and Ahmedabad from August 7. Giving information, Akasa airline, which is invested by stock market veteran Rakesh Jhunjhuwala, has also said that it will use Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for its first airline.

Akasa Air issued a statement saying that it has started selling tickets for 28 weekly flights. These flights will be operated between Mumbai and Ahmedabad from August 7. Sharing the information, Akasa Air has said that it will start its commercial operations with two 737 MAX aircraft.

According to Akasa, Boeing has given them the delivery of one Max aircraft and the delivery of the second aircraft is due by the end of this month. Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder, and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa Air, said, “We will start the commercial services of the airline by commencing flights between Mumbai and Ahmedabad using the brand new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft".

Praveen Iyer has said that we will take a phased approach to implement our network expansion plans, we will gradually start our flights between more cities one after the other. We plan to add two aircraft to our fleet every month."
