Airtel has announced a new video streaming service called “Xtream Premium”, which will offer content from 15 Indian and global OTT platforms. The streaming service is available for all devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and even on Television. 

The Xtream service costs Rs 149 per month and Rs 1,499 for a year. It is exclusively available to Airtel customers. The service is also available on Airtel Xtream set-top box as an upgrade to the Airtel Xtream platform that is currently available. Users can download the application on Android and iOS to access the new service.

Subscribers will get access to more than 10,500 movies and shows along with living channels from SonyLIV, ErosNow, Lionsgate Play, Shemaroo, HungamaPlay and others. The company is targeting 20 million subscriptions with the launch of Xtream Premium.

The CEO of Airtel Digital, Adarsh Nair has said that the service is a game-changing innovation to democratise OTT content in India. It focuses on solving the key challenges of content discovery, affordability and distribution. He also said that it is a win-win situation for customers and OTT players alike on this exciting journey to make digital entertainment mainstream in India.
