After Skoda Chip Shortage Leads To The Delay In Launch Of Maserati's Grecale SUV

The chip shortage all around the world has led to the delay of not one but many gadgets and automobiles. Apple cut short the production of its latest smartphones due to ship shortage and later the news about Maruti having an impact on its production also came out. It's not limited to that. Recently, Volkswagen also cut the production of Skoda SUV and the reason behind this was only chip shortage. Now, Maserati has delayed the launch of its Grecale SUV until the spring of 2022. The launch was supposed to happen in November this year, but the shortage in the global market has led to the delay in the launch. The reason for the chip shortage is due to the present conditions in China as the country along with the whole world suffered due to pandemic and it has had some effects on the production of chips. 

Stellantis, formed that the production will be halted this year at several plants along with Europe and Canada just because of chip shortage. The forecast about the fall in production is made which will be around 1.4 million. The FIM-CISL union has said that the impact of chip shortage on production will be long-lasting and worse than the impact Covid-19 had on the production.
